What is an Email pre-filter and how does it work?

November 15, 2017

By making a simple change to your domain's MX record, all your incoming messages are redirected to our highly-reliable mail filtering servers where they are analyzed by advanced spam-detection algorithms and multiple anti-virus engines to identify spam, viruses, phishing attacks, and other threats. Once the undesirable messages have been safely quarantined or deleted, the remaining legitimate messages are sent to your existing mail server for delivery as usual. This reduces the load on your production mail server, saves Internet bandwidth, and increases your network security by stopping threats before they enter your network. Since all the filtering is done on our servers, there is nothing for you to install or maintain. In the event your server is down or unreachable, we prevent messages from bouncing by keeping them in our queue until your server is back online.

Many of my clients have shared with me that this was one of the best IT service changes they have ever made.
